Following Jesus means trusting Him as Savior and submitting to Him as Lord, living by grace through faith in God’s Word. It is a Spirit-empowered life—marked by repentance, obedience, holiness, and love—that seeks to grow in Christ, walk in the power of the Holy Spirit, and participate in Jesus’ mission to make disciples of all nations.
How to Follow Jesus
Turn from sin and place your faith in Jesus as Savior.
“Repent and believe the good news!” (Mark 1:15; Acts 2:38)
Surrender your life to His authority.
“If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart… you will be saved.” (Romans 10:9)
Experience new life in Christ and publicly identify with Him. (John 3:3; Matthew 28:19)
Live out His teachings through a transformed life.
“If you love Me, keep My commands.” (John 14:15)
Follow Jesus daily by the power and guidance of the Spirit. (Acts 1:8; Galatians 5:16)
Make disciples and share the gospel with others. (Matthew 28:19–20)
